Dawn Brennan – Urban Ink’s new Managing Director!

We are thrilled to announce that Dawn Brennan will be joining the Urban Ink team as Managing Director!

Dawn Brennan, M. A., has an extensive background in arts leadership positions, including Director, Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance, Executive Director, Actsafe Safety Association, and General Manager of the, Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, and the Vancouver International Writers FestivalDawn Brennan, M. A., has an extensive background in arts leadership positions, including Director, Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance, Executive Director, Actsafe Safety Association, and General Manager of the, Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, and the Vancouver International Writers Festival.

A former Stage Manager, Dawn is a graduate of National Theatre School, the recipient of the Canada Council’s John Hobday Award in Arts Management and the Jessies’ Mary Phillips Award for Unsung Heroes. With a decade of experience as an arts consultant and facilitator, Dawn has an M.A. in Leadership from  Royal Roads University and currently teaches Resource Development in Capilano University’s Arts and Entertainment Management Program.

Dawn’s work in the community includes board membership with Vocal Eye Descriptive Arts, the Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation, the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT), the Alliance for Arts and Culture, and Kokoro Dance.  A long-time volunteer Big Sister, Dawn is the founder of Vancouver’s Theatre Cares, and is currently the foster parent of a crazily active two year old.
